EAU CLAIRE, Wis. – Registered dietitian Diane Dressel, program coordinator in Luther Midelfort’s Weight Management Services, recently was certified in adult weight management from the American Dietetic Association.
With about 70,000 members, the American Dietetic Association is the world’s largest organization of food and nutrition professionals. Its members work toward improving the nation’s health through research, education and advocacy of evidence-based methods in nutrition and weight management.
To earn certification, Dressel had to attend an ADA conference and pass a competency exam.
“It means a lot to be recognized by such an established organization,” Dressel said. “It’s something I’ve wanted for several years now.”
Dressel oversees Luther Midelfort’s award-winning Weight Management Services, which recently expanded to Menomonie. For more information about Weight Management Services, call 715-838-6731 or visit www.luthermidelfort.org.
