Janie Rhody, nurse practitioner
Janie Rhody, a family nurse practitioner, has joined Palliative Care at Luther Midelfort in Eau Claire.
Rhody earned her master’s degree in nursing from Concordia University Wisconsin in Mequon. She received her bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh.
Before joining Palliative Care, Rhody worked with Luther Midelfort’s Express Care walk-in clinics.
Throughout the Luther Midelfort system, the Palliative Care team works with patients and their loved ones, addressing physical, emotional and spiritual issues throughout the course of an illness. Luther Midelfort’s Palliative Care program includes doctors, nurse practitioners, nurses, chaplains and others in Barron, Bloomer, Eau Claire and Osseo.
“The Palliative Care team provides a wonderful additional support for patients facing serious illness,” Rhody says. “It is a privilege to walk alongside patients and their families and to help as they make important decisions about their illness and treatment options.”
